More childhood-related stuff

Does anyone know who wrote “The Saggy Baggy Elephant“? Or a book that begins with the lines “Tippy met Trinket down by the duck pond. ‘Come along home with me’, he said.”? These are other childhood favourites.

My friend Bhuvi always whines about having missed all the really good childrens books. She’s now trying to collect them, so her children will have a sufficiently literary childhood. I don’t plan to have children, though I’m told this is a mistake. Children are a blessing. Think about it…one tiny, innocent little mind that is for its formative years completely under your power. Think of the possibilities! I plan to ask her if I can teach them to read. From The Gashlycrumb Tinies, of course. (Every two year old should know what ‘ennui’ means)

Does any of this have any real relevance to anything? No. But this is my hundredth post on this blog and I wanted to prove (I’m lying, though) that it doesn’t matter to me.
